The protection of individuals is of prime importance to us. Therefore, whenever the need arises, we can provide our clients with close protection - escorting them to events and providing close protection to their international guests – receiving them upon arrival, escorting them to hotels and ensuring that all their needs are met whilst they are in the country. This service allows our clients to focus on the purpose of the visit instead of worrying about the welfare of their guest.
Training is fundamental to effectively function as a close protection officer, as a split second decision can make the difference between saving and loosing a principal. Armed with the knowledge that different circumstances may require different protocols, we adapt a flexible approach to situations depending on the needs of the principal.
All close protection officers are required to undergo the standard Security Industry Authority (SIA) training programme. However, to ensure our officers are capable of adapting to the realities of their assignments, they receive additional training in:
- History
- Interpersonal communication
- Basic movement skills
- Non-verbal communication
- Protection driving
- Advancing procedures
- Intermediate use of force
- First Aid
- Surveillance detection
- Appearance
- Physical fitness
- Anti-kidnapping manoeuvre
- Map and structural plan reading
We liaise with the principal or their PA in planning their itinerary, which is incorporated into our own protection plan. Based upon information received from the principal, we can plan:
- Advancing procedures that takes into account traffic flow, level of threat, condition of roads, bridges, tunnels, pedestrian crossings, buildings along the route, events occurring on the way and location of safe places
- The resources required: numbers/types of vehicles, number of close protection officers required and number and type of communication equipment required
- Numbers/type of guest expected at an event, seating position, public interaction, food & drinks, safe rooms and emergency exit
- Protection of family members
- Emergency evacuation
